Life as an entrepreneur is challenging, and if you’re juggling mental health issues, it can be downright exhausting.
And let’s face it: If you’re in America right now, you might be feeling like our country is on fire, politically speaking.
It’s tough out there, so we’ve gotta take our little jolts of joy wherever we can get them.
Here are a few of my recent ones:
Jolt 1: My friend Corinne, a brilliant translator, interpreter, and trainer, fosters cats, and she recently had four of THE MOST ADORABLE KITTENS. And she let me visit them.
I mean, seriously. Look at these little fluffballs.
In this second photo, this little gal’s name is Couscous. She weighed less than two pounds, and I really wanted to take her home, but I didn’t think our dog Moose would appreciate the new addition to the family.
Jolt #2: Last Friday, a couple of my besties and I took a trip into the mountains to surprise The Blond One at the brewery where’s he’s been working this summer. It was fun to see him at work and have lunch with him, and then we drove around the area, enjoyed the cooler mountain air, and had some adventures.
Makin’ memories.
Tell me in the comments: What’s giving you joy these days? (comments are open to everyone on this post!)
I got a jolt of vicarious joy from those adorable kittens your friend is fostering, and seeing you with them! I also experienced such a burst of happiness kayaking in Monterey Bay with my boyfriend, enjoying the harbor seals playing 5 feet away from us. It was July 4 and those seals couldn’t have cared less. 😂🥰
The wrens nesting in the birdhouse on my front porch. I’ve had the birdhouse for years, but until now it’s only been home to wasps. I love hearing the birds singing in the morning and watching them try to jam enormous sticks into the tiny tiny hole on the birdhouse.
